Toughened  Glass

Toughened Safety Glass is up to five times stronger than non-toughened and because of its increased strength architects and builders worldwide can take architectural design much further, allowing a lot more natural light into their design whilst maintaining safety.

Kias toughened safety glass meets European and America Safety Standards and is situated in many different applications. Toughened safety glass is processed by subjecting panels of glass that are edge worked to a heating and cooling treatment whereby high compressive stresses are set up at the surfaces with balancing tensile stresses in the centre. The high compressive surface stresses that remain are what gives its increased strength.
